  1. learn how to make programs but then the tutorials says just make programs ( projects ) yeah no shit btw, that's why it's frustrating to hear that kinda advice but thanks for saying where we can find what programs to make

  2. My G O A T . As a software engineer, I have always had some imposter syndrome, but the bread and cheese part really felt like the part I struggle with, putting down the book and picking up the tools. Its like the "explore vs exploit" tradeoff, lots of seniors like to say that unless you completely understand every facet of your programming environment, you don't understand your code and you're a fraud. This is not true, there are levels to understanding and while you should always be learning more, there is a point at which you just need to focus on the parts you need to know to get the job done. A mile deep and an inch wide only works for the consultants who get brought in for niche projects, everyone else still climbing the rungs needs to be a mile wide and maybe at least a few meters deep. Once you have that and you're 30, 40 etc then maybe you can start delving into the specifics, but where I come from, coding is only half the job, the other half is understanding what users need and how to translate that into a code requirement and then how to actually integrate it into your software without breaking things.

  3. i want to start but whenever i sit down and actually follow any kind of tutorial i genuinely have to find out again by rewatching the full video.

i have given up allot at multiple because of it. cant really figure out why or how i can change it

  4. Instead of asking "how do I get good" people should ask "why do I want to learn it"?

If this has no clear answer, the answer to the first question will always be "you will never get good". And if the answer is "because I want to earn money" they won't get good either.

It's very similar to learning guitar. When you want to learn it because you want to become good and famous: no you won't. If it is because you enjoy music and want to learn for yourself: cool, go for it and you may become good eventually

  5. is it even worth getting into these fields anymore? it seems ai does it all better now. it may still suck at a lot of things, it seems to excel at coding and data related tasks.

  6. MAN I really just want to give up… This really is hell all the way through. Unfortunately we don't have mcdonalds as commonly on this side of the world, so I'm just gonna have to do this or anything learning based. JUST END MY SUFFERING I DON'T WANNA PLAY THIS GAME ANYMORE
