The owners always protect the company in America
So, your first example about Jon and the five times he was late, what if he was late but what if all of his other female coworkers were late as well?
Bro being late is a joke. Thats a fucking joke. People drive hrs to work just to make better money. And were all broke. Thats bullshit
God will get the revenge for you! "Vengeance is mine saith the lord!"
What's done in the dark, shall come to the light, God will expose it!
The incident tracker “KEEP THE RECORD” by Meghan Reeves saved my case! I had everything documented neatly and my attorney loved it. The case was a slam dunk. Got it on amazon for $9!!! ❤❤
Can you help me in California,or know someone who can?
I complained for like 10 months straight professionally through email. Recently I got frustrated about what’s been happening and I complained but did swear the only time I did get upset like this. I left after asked to leave Told me my employment wouldn’t be affected but when I returned to work next day my badge is deactivated, this time I was very polite, calm, and composed. Another employee let me in and I could hear them all talking about me in a meeting and when I confronted it the supervisor resulted to calling the police 😂. I was confused and kept asking not to. Anyways I left and got escorted out by the cops. They changed my payrate few times and I got shorted on a few paychecks including recent pay check. Things I’ve complained about for months nearly a year. They wasn’t doing anything until I got upset that one day smh
Is there an email address to contact you? Do you handle international labor law , I have my hearing date soon, after 2 years of being waiting. Thank you
At this point the reason why i think employees lose employment disputes is because employment lawyers dont want to do their jobs. They only want easy, high paying cases and dont actually want to help people who got screwed over by their employers.
The employer can raise the bar, and make an employee look bad on paper. For example, they can give you more difficult job assignments and make unrealistic goals, so you can't make your goals despite giving maximum effort.
what about if my lawyer never communicate with me about my case
Thanks for the info.
I live in Wa. PFML Unlawful Complaints department wow. They claim they handle job protection and unlawful acts in the law. My iInvestigator refused to look at the unlawful acts that is heavily documented in email. I turned them into the Commissioner for not fully investgating my case. I was totally ignored and I have to file an appeal. No accountability for that department for not honoring the law they are expected to examine. Wa state doesn't really protect their people – it's a lie only in paper.
Never give up when you are right!!! That's your benefit for working hard!!!
Delays, to give you up !!! Don't give up!!!
hey ed, i feel like not a lot of these videos online cover the reporting of an injury, which is a little different than standard discrimination or retaliation for whistleblowing.
Number 2? What if this is describing your situation, but you have documented disabilities and were denied reasonable accommodations
I recently learned—the HARD way—that the Family and Medical Leave act is unenforceable.
About 11/15/2025 at a company wide meeting, HR Director Mary Montano at ABB Installation Products here in Albuquerque informed the workers that going forward, we would no longer have 8 days of paid sick leave per year, but 64 individual hours’ paid sick leave, accrued at the rate of one paid sick hour for every 30 hours worked. She said people were “…taking advantage of it…”. Maybe—but I never did, although I have age-related health problems that caused me to use all 8 days’ sick leave and a few vacation days for followup medical appointments.
On or about 11/24/2025 I fell at a local restaurant, injuring my ribs and right thigh. I went to urgent care to be checked out as my ribs were unendurably painful everytime I changed position or coughed. Because I have experienced broken ribs a few times when I was young, I believed mine were again broken. The first day I was unable to work, I contacted Sedgwick, who handles FMLA records, requesting short term disability documents my physician would have to fill out and sign. Xrays at the time revealed no breaks, and the physician said if I felt better in a week, I could return to work. Guess at 73, I don’t heal as quickly these days–I was in just as much pain days later, and returned suggesting the ER had maybe overlooked a break, as I still had the same stabbing pain whenever I changed position, stood up, turned over in bed or coughed. This time, they performed an MRI. They found no breaks, but said I’d bruised the ribs and wait another week to see how I felt. On December 8, 2025, I returned to work.
On December 11, 2025 I was terminated on a ridiculous trumped up charge in a clear violation of company policy published in the Employees’ Handbook. I believe it was actually in retaliation for my seeking short term disability payment—maybe she didn’t want anyone paid for short term disabilities, either. For the record, I worked at ABB for five years, never was subjected to any disciplinary actions, and my annual evaluations were positive. In fact, I’d been be promoted to tester, with a pay raise.
At that time I had STILL not received the documents requiring the Doctor’s signature—there’s a window of time in which to get the signed docs back to Sedgwick (FMLA), after which any claim would be denied. Still, I didn’t get them. I called several more times, still no documents. Their office is in Kentucky, so I couldn’t have someone pick them up. The deadline of 12/23/2025 was less than a week away. I sought help from our New Mexico Attorney General.
About 10 days later, a packet of documents from FMLA arrived in my home mailbox posted January 3, 2026 with a note to get them back ASAP to consider my claim. Though I’d already been terminated. Within 24 hours, I faxed the signed documents to Kentucky. About two weeks later, I received an email stating my claim was approved, and in a subsequent phone conversation was old that my compensation had been approved. Just under $1500.00.
After another two weeks, I called Kentucky to ask about the funds—life without a paycheck was taking a toll on my resources. Sedgwick said they had sent the funds to ABB. Though no longer employed at ABB, I was certain I was entitled to that compensation because I had been injured while yet employed, and had even already returned to work after convalescing. I sent a text message to Mary inquiring about this matter—Montano never answers phone calls from employees and always preferred text messages. Well she didn’t respond to the text, either.
I visited the Federal Dept of Labor downtown to complain about ABB withholding my pay. There, I was informed that the FMLA has no enforcement capability. The people there were sympathetic, but said they couldn’t help me.
I don’t know what to do…
Yes i have a question

I work for a very large public entity in Seattle. I am on intermittent FMLA currently and have been for 5 months. Our director told my boss in Jan to cancel my approved PTO one week before my trip because I have been off too many days even though I had this trip approved 3 months prior. In Feb the same person told my boss to coach me on when I use my FMLA. Then in March she told my supervisor to document and go through my FMLA usage to make sure I am not abusing it. I have a disability that is on record. In addition my department has been understaffed for 2 years with no extra pay and they just redid our main work area and made the main workspace for someone in a wheelchair and it is a fixed height so we are all now having back and neck issues because we are hunched over all day. This has all been documented and the same person has harassed other people who are on FMLA. We are working with our union to negotiate better pay and to help with our work area our labor board has been ignoring us for a month. I have so much more LMAO honesty I want to litigate.
Please people, remember that the more open you are about the bad facts, the more credible your testimony is, not less credible.
This is Joseph Baumgardner I got all the emails. You are probably scared to go against a 56 billion dollar company. I still work there 9 years. I have been written up one time. They are taking $1000's of dollars out my checks.
I have documented evidence of being classified as a contractor in Mi while being paid hourly, required to clock in, and having wages delayed pending additional work. I also have supporting texts, time logs, and agreements but I’m having trouble finding someone to help me 😡 rich people don’t care about people struggling
What if you complain about wrongfully treatment hostile environment and notvsupported then 2 days later put on leave for allegations made by employees who were trouble makers then your fired and comes out they were fishing for anything negative to fire you for
Basically, if you’re an employee, it’s nearly impossible to prove. Especially in the industry I was in.
All truth! 🙏
While I agree, employers lie a lot, act unethically and are pretty shady. The best thing to do is to work for yourself.
I file a complaint with the civil rights commission and the NLRB because i was wrongfully suspended for 3 day my union knows i did nothing wrong and still didn't fight for me then i been wrote up 3 time for insubordination and everytime all i did was stand up for myself because the union wouldn't i asked my plant manager why do they treat white people different than they treat black people he told me cause that's just the way it is deal with it i filed my charges over 6 or 7 months ago i still keep in touch with my case manager from the civil rights commission through email and i have at least 6 witnesses that was there way before me that told me this place is racist so i got all they names and numbers and sent them to my case work as evidence even my union president stood up for me I'll just be glad when this over everyone at work practically hate my gutz but i don't give a shyt they should learn how to treat people better
Yeah I’m late all the time it’s a wrap. Still not an excuse to be threatened.
Problem is half of it is unfair. Employers always win with as little as documentation but they never have video proof, emails, or voice recordings. Just written words that can easily be forged.. I even told fair work commission. So what's the documentation they have? And so they have any proof of that? They said documentation. I respond with so none? They win because of words?
I need to learn how to keep my mouth shut then. I have a habit of telling my bosses they are wrong all the time. I just can't help my self. 😂
If you’re not giving advice what the hell are you here for?
What can happen if your boss forces you to work over 5 hours before being allowed to take your 1st break
Sabotage such companies. Leak secrets to competitors. Sabotage information diceeetly
I dont gamble
Well I worked and quit, the employer was a bad acting horrible evil employer. I worked one weekend and quit once I was back, I was not fired and still the employer is refusing to pay me because I reported him of the violations are. Now, he plays games to avoid paying me. Well, fine, I will put a lein on his property and then auction it all off for the little he owes me. Anyone with me to make this happen comment to this thanks.
These examples always seem so easy and cut and dried, but real life employment issues aren't that cut and dry and aren't that easy. This is like a basic one-on-one Junior attorney type of feedback. Most employment issues are very multi-layered and much more complex than the way this person is laying them out
Dude I just love the way you say "lying".
The employer just says that you were a bad employee, and all they need is one weakness.
